James Dunse began his training in Musical Theatre early in life training in voice, theatre, and dance. He received his Associates in Vocal Performance as well as a B.A. in Musical Theatre. James went on to work at The Municipal Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and has been fortunate enough to grace many of the local cabaret and theatre stages playing many characters, including the principle role of Mary Jo Shively in the World Premiere of Linda Bloodworth-Thompson’s Re-Designing Women at The Spotlight Cabaret.
Inspired by the Miss Gay America Pageant, he began his female impersonation career at Faces Nightclub winning The Best Newcomer Award as Jessica Leigh Foster. Jessica has since made her mark in the Miss Gay America System, winning The Miss Shining Star America crown as well as placing in the top 10 at Miss Gay Missouri America. As Jessica Leigh Foster, James has helped raise upwards of $75,000 for non-for-profits such as The Saint Louis EFA, PAWS, the It Gets Better Project, NOH8, Planned Parenthood, and many others. Recently, James joined the cast at The Emerald Room at The Monocle. Since then he and his alter ego Jessica has had the honor of working with such amazing talents such as Amy Armstrong, Kyle Hustedt, Lola Van Ella, The Chicago Cabaret Project, Coco Peru, Leslie Jordan, Karma T. Cassidy, Thom Wall, Chloe Walier, Jeremiah Clark, Tony Tripoli, and Joe Posa as Joan Rivers! Both Monsieur James and Jessica perform at The Emerald Room in The Varieté Cabaret Show, Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror and a Little Bit More Cabaret Show, and in the monthly line-up shows “Lola’s Flavor of the Month,” and “Strictly Drag!”
Amy Armstrong has graced stages from coast-to-coast, both large and small, and in over 20 countries worldwide with her one-of-a-kind wit and musical prowess. She has had the pleasure of opening and sharing the spotlight with famed entertainers including; Kathy Griffin, Mary Wilson and the Supremes, Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur, Jennifer Holiday and Judy Gold to name a few.
Kylie Bear is best known for his subtle and sensual wit as an Emcee, with a look that will definitely turn your head! A former opera singer and featured as The Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Music of the Night,” his devotion to the art of the cabaret is unwavering.
