SHAKE 38 Shakespeare's Women: The Bard's Broads

Remember that Shakespeare play when the guy verbally and mentally abused his wife so she would submit to him? Wasn't that funny?!?! 

because why not? theatre company presents "Shakespeare's Women or The Bard's Broads", written by Shannon Geier and directed by Elaine Laws. "Shakespeare's Women" takes an entertaining, thought provoking look at the comedies of Shakespeare, extracting some of the more serious (i.e. disturbing) behaviors and ideas from "light-hearted romps" such as Taming of the Shrew and examining them from a modern, feminist perspective. 

Two free shows on Friday, April 21 at 6 pm and 8 pm at The Monocle 4510 Manchester Ave, St. Louis, MO 63110. Seating limited to 50.
