Audrey Crabtree is an actual award-winning creator, performer, director and producer of original work. She re-located to St Louis 2 years ago after 18 years in NYC. She combines her background and experience in acting, improvisation, physical theater, clown, bouffon and inter-active theater to create the character Deenie Nast in the style of grotesque. In this show, when Deenie’s legally required nurse does not arrive, she partners with an audience volunteer on stage for the entire show. Through play, without direct instruction, they develop a relationship, and explores the idea of loneliness, love, and belonging. This show is full of surprises for the audience and Ms Crabree.
As Deenie, Audrey has performed in theaters, music venues and circuses in New York such as Joe’s Pub, Rockwood Music Hall, UCB, The Brick Theater, and in faraway places such as Minneapolis, Mexico City and La Gata Cirko in Bogota, Columbia.
