On Saturday, August 17th, The Monocle & The Emerald Room welcomes Buffalo, NY hip hop artist, Chuckie Campbell, and his 6-piece live band (with a full horn section), The Black Den, as they trek across country on The Beats and Brass Tour. Joining Campbell will be St. Louis’s finest in local support — The Knuckles, Kill em All, and We Are Root Mod – for a night filled with fluid instrumentation, lush musical arrangements, and heartfelt poetic nuance

In 2018, Campbell was A3C's This Is My Year Contest Winner and took home an All WNY Music Award for Best Hip Hop Artist. His most recent album, Taking Back Tomorrow, was released to universal critical acclaim and features Talib Kweli, Ras Kass, Nicole Atkins, Heidi Feek, and more. Campbell and his live band, The Black Den, have touched 46 states and two countries (Canada and Costa Rica), attended A3C as official artists (the largest hip hop music conference in the United States), and played SXSW (the largest music festival of its kind in the world).

The night promises to be a special one! Doors open at 9pm and the music won’t stop until 1am. This show is 21+ to enter and tickets are $10. Don’t miss this dynamic, powerful line up of emerging and established artists at the one and only, Emerald Room!
